This is a rare one of a kind custom handmade wood and stained-glass folding backgammon set. I had this set made in 1973.

It has seen many decades of play. The outside box sides will accommodate custom made panels (leather, wood, fabric, etc.) should the buyer wish to add them. I chose not to. I had contemplated fancy custom tooled leather outsides. It would still be easy to add now should the Buyer choose. Walking through city streets. often times at night, to a backgammon parlor or game location it looked quite plain until I opened it. I preferred not to walk with anything looking fancy, for safety reasons, especially carrying money to gamble with. At game time this set was an eye catcher when opened. The durable glass board has its own "sound" during play, which was an attention grabber.. The hairline crack on one point base was from a sore sore, slammed the betting cube onto the board in anger and frustration at his sizable betting loss. It occurred in a high stakes game in a Wall Street club around 1978. I never had it fixed. I consider it lucky and it proved to be. The Microsoft pouch came to it around 1989 after they went public and I got in early. I also consider it lucky. Im selling the set as is. What you see is what you get.
