Beautifully leather bound by John Trotter.
With a portrait of the author as frontispiece and further illustrations.
Previous owner’s signature to verso of title page, dated 1898.
CONDITION
In a full calf leather binding by John Trotter. With gilt title and decoration to the boards and spine. Externally, very smart. Very light rubbing to the extremities. John Trotter bookplate to front pastedown. ‘Alan Thornton Whitney, Oxon’ bookplate to recto of front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Foxing to frontispiece and spotting throughout.
